TO: Coaches, Parents and Players of Windsor Travel Basketball

From: Dwight Bell and Cindy Farrell, Co-Directors, PAL WTB

As our regular season comes to a close, Dwight and I want to express our gratitude for year of great basketball, sportsmanship and parent support!

First, the dedication of our coaches – J, Aaron, Rich, Ron, Dwayne, McCoy and Will – is unparalleled. Thank you for sharing so much of your time and talents with our children. You’ve taught them more than just the game of basketball – the lessons of commitment and teamwork will serve them well as they grown into productive young men.

To the parents, thank you for your commitment to our program, and the sense of community you helped to create. You’ve run your boys around to all the practices and games, made sure they displayed good sportsmanship on the court, and worked hard in school to earn the right to play. Your enthusiasm and positive encouragement is what makes the difference to your children and our program.

Last but certainly not least, to the players on our 6th, 7th and 8th grade teams, congratulations on a great season! Your hard work and training paid off – all three teams finished in the top 4 out of 25 league teams. By listening to your coaches and practicing hard, you reached a commendable goal. You should all be pleased with your accomplishments – we are very proud of you.

And it’s not over yet! As we turn our attention to the tournament, keep up the great attitudes and displays of positive fan support. We all know it can get more heated during the tournament games, so we’re asking everyone to refrain from making any comments to (or about!) the referees. We truly are ambassadors of the great Town of Windsor. At the tournament meeting this past Sunday, the league director complimented us on what was in his opinion “the best season ever” for Windsor and mentioned the professionalism of our coaches. He went on to say we were a “class organization”. Thanks again to all of you for making it happen.
